ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Legacy Youth Leadership’s Student Speaker Program is an interactive, high-energy, workshop-style program that helps students make an impact in their local and global communities. Students will be guided through a series of activities and experiences to better understand the art of communication and how to deliver a persuasive speech about a cause or issue they’re passionate about. Our in-person facilitators will work with students to build a speech from the ground up using different formulas, communication devices, and professional techniques.
SKILLS AND ACTIVITIES
Students will experience in-person instruction, small group breakout sessions, reflective question and answer sessions, and interactive games throughout our program. Our Speaker Program includes training around the art of storytelling, the development of written and oral communication, and appropriate tactics to use when speaking from the stage.
CAUSE FORWARD
Our Speaker Program is designed to help students stand in front of a group of people and deliver a speech about a cause or issue they care about. From environmental issues to homelessness, and animal welfare to food insecurity, we know students care about a variety of different issues, and we want to help students gain the confidence they need to share their passion with the world.
